About Me

Rich McPeek
I am a published Wildlife & Nature Photographer. I have been making photographs for over 30 years. I started using 35mm cameras, developing my own film, and printing my own work in a darkroom my parents had bought for me when I was a teenager. I attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh for Photography in the late 1980’s then enlisted in the United States Army and worked in Military Intelligence. I am Veteran who was Honorably Discharged in 1995.

When I began photography, I shot whatever caught my eye. Usually that subject had to do with Life without me even realizing it. People on the streets of the city, family, friends, wildlife, and nature. I didn't notice until I was older that all my subjects had that one thing in common, being Alive. For the last ten years, I have really focused on sharing images of "Life" through Wildlife and Nature Photography. Most recently, I have been invited to attend and shoot Motorsports events and I must say I really enjoy the challenge of making these type of photos and am hooked!

Currently, I shoot Olympus OMD cameras and lenses. My work consists of Wildlife, Nature and Landcapes, Headshots, (corporate and/or personal), Portraits, and Motorsports. I shoot both Color and Black & White photographs.
